In 2015, Velabran GmbH has been commissioned to develop a new the entrance building for the theme park “Saurier Park” in Kleinwelka, near Dresden, Germany. This general contractor contract included the construction of the so called “Mitoseum”, a building section made of three domes, varying in their heights, with the largest being 23 metres high.
Together with experienced engineers, Velabran GmbH developed an innovative technological system for the production of the steel structure, for the geometry of the building is very complex. After 4 months of construction (excluding shell and foundation work) this ambitious project could be finished. A surface of 850 m² is being spanned.
